ROLLING SUBMISSIONS: CUT OFF FOR CONSIDERATION FOR VOLUME V IS DECEMBER 1ST

Read through the Staff Bios or Search for the editor you feel best suits your work and email them directly. If you can't decide, send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The subject should include:
— your name
— the type of writing (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, etc)
The body of the email should include: a cover letter, including your diversity points (for our information only). If you are White Cis Neurotypical Heterosexual, include that here as well. Please also include if this is a simultaneous submission or a reprint.
Important: You must include any trigger warnings your work may require. Failure to do so will result in your story being discarded, even if it was brilliant. You can find a list of triggers you must label here.
Include your submission as an attachment in rich text format (.rtf) or as a Word Document (.doc or .docx)
Your file should include the following:
— Your name
— Pen name if applicable
— Aspect(s) of diversity your writing covers.
— Word count (poetry excluded)
— Genre (if applicable)
— Brief synopsis (for fiction/non-fiction) or overview of themes (poetry)
Acceptable length of Submissions:
— Each poem cannot exceed four pages, single spaced, Times font, 12pt
— Flash Fiction and Short Essays under 1k words
— Long Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Essays over 1k but not surpassing 5k words
— You may submit up to 5 poems or flash fiction pieces at a time.
Multiple Submissions Policy:
You may submit ONE short story along with ONE flash fiction/essay and ONE poem, or any combination of poems and flash fiction/essay pieces that do not exceed a total of FIVE. Multiple works in a submission must be on separate pages, each headed with a title. Please send everything to only one editor.
